Fake Flower Portraits, is an ongoing series which spans a ten year period, combining photography and installation to draw attention to the material culture of death and mourning. The project began as a way to deal with the death of Teresa's mother over 10 years ago, it has since morphed into an obsession and study in form, colour and composition. The series features portraits of fake flower bouquets found in cemeteries in and around Toronto and currently holds of 1200 images in the collection.
